North Road Axis of Crete (V.O.A.K)

Traffic model and forecast along North Road Axis of Crete (V.O.A.K) along Chania- Agios NIkolaos road section

This project aims to the development of the traffic model forecasting traffic flows on the North Road Axis of Crete (V.O.A.K.) for alternative road geometries and for the forecast years 2025, 2035, 2045 & 2055. The traffic model was developed using the software VISUM. The entire island of Crete was determined as the study area, divided in traffic zones, while the ports and airports were determined as special zones.
